			<description><![CDATA[ Not that I have any immediate plans to build much equipment but is no one building anything out of wood any more? Rockers and sleuces used to be wood correct?
Anyone building out of wood? I assume hard woods and you want to avoid cracks and shoddy workmanship to avoid getting the gold stuck in cracks. If I could find
a suitable place one day I&#39;d build a sleuce with wood. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ After running my home built trommel at the CGMA weekend at Quesnell forks i decided i needed a larger sluice to handle the water flow that my trommel puts out.
 I wanted something that would work under my trommel but could also be used for other applications as well.  I have a small metal brake that handles sheets up
to 30 inches so i decided to make up a three piece foldable sluice made out of 3 pieces of 2 foot square aluminum sheet.   The sluice starts out at 8 inches

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I have a Keene sluice that I want to rig up as a highbanker and would like to know if anyone has run one with a 12v electric pump.  If so what capacity of
pump would do?  I&#39;ve found bilge pumps that range from 500 to 2500+ gph but don&#39;t know how much is enough.  I know most folks probably use a small gas
pump, but I would prefer electric because its quieter.  If this is a dumb question don&#39;t hesitate to say so.</p> ]]></description>

It is light enough to backpack and breaks down and fits together and the legs are

threaded so they are removable, tried something different for the slope adjustment

I think it is going to work fine, used slots instead of drill holes for the wash bars.

Will have to get out and give it a test run soon.

works is the box is set up with little grade 1/2 inch drop in the length  this you can addjust  as nessessary to clear. Next the field is flooded / the lip at
the end is 1 inch 3/8 higher than the grate . Next turn the water flow until the field appears to have air underneath as you play up and down with the water
