Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None goldseeker and fever are not able to access this forum!!!! wayne and i both have checked the setting and everything appears ok... i have had problems before , but have always found a way.... ether by a link , or google search... there's a link in bcpma web site and www.likely-bc.ca on the links page... anyone else.... ....jim

I don't know about Fever but the other two both have Shaw internet and i suspect that Shaw may have blocked YUKU for some reason. Anyone else here have Shaw with no problem? Still checking..... Wayne

If you are using IE8 and are having problems with posting pictures, using smilies etc with either posts or your signature, you may need to switch to Compatibility View . The developers will be making yuku compatible with IE8, but until then, you may need to use Compatibility View. Internet Explorer 8 is a new release and some websites may not yet be ready for Internet Explorer 8. Click the Compatibility View toolbar button to display the website as viewed in Internet Explorer 7, which will correct display problems like misaligned text, images, or text boxes. This option is on a per site basis and all other sites will continue to display with Internet Explorer 8 functionality........ The Microsoft page linked to above has pictures on how to switch to Compatibility View and how to maintain a list of sites that work better in IE7. In the YUKU support forums many are having the same problem, ISP's are mostly Shaw and Rogers with a few others. Will keep on it until i get an answer but with YUKU it could take a while......... Shaw tech support worked with Greg and that is the verdict. Sorry that our members can't get on and hope it is fixed soon!

I spent an hour on the phone with the tech and she could not figure out why the heck the servers where not seeing yuku. she had to go to an external dns server to confirm it was a problem with shaw and not yuku. the workaround I found is to use the open dns server http://www.opendns.com/ just follow the instructions for home network, your router, and boom yuku is back.. however the fellas who need this info aint gonna get it here so feel free to copy and paste this to them in a private e-mail. The cause of Internet Explorer not being able to display certain pages was labelled as this kind of error : res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm# A person on a web help site provided the answer, below, to this type of problem. It worked for me. I chose April 11/09 as my System Restore Date. Solution : "I think it is a conflict in the stupid IE7 caused by a spyware or virus. Remember when the problem started. I mean on what date. Then restore your PC to a previous point before the problem occured. That should take care of the problem. It worked for me. In case you don't know how to do this, follow this directions>>> Click on Start, All programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore." I had to e-mail Brett to see if he was having trouble. He wasn't, so that helped to identify the problem. Thanks Brett!

I would not use IE unless i had no choice, Firefox for me! Switched to Firefox 2 years ago way more secure and have had only two browser crashes in that time. With IE i would have two a week at least. Wayne
