I just closed the deal on a few claims on the Bridge/Yalakom and am going to protect them, if I have to spends as much on cameras and signs as I did on the claims, I'm fine with that. Before I start researching solar charged, gell-cell digital wildlife cams, has anyone else done the same thing on here and found a source for them? Signs are going up (a LOT of them), cameras as well and I'm going contact a landowner who lives on one of my cells regarding a "relationship" that's mutually beneficial to have him keep an eye on them or swap out and mail me memory cards if needed. Seeing how I'm among friends... I might as well get a brag in..... Could you please reduce the size of the pics before posting? It messes up the page some if they are too large. Standard JPEG 640x480 or even a bit bigger is ok. Yours are 1322x767, a bit big. That is better thanks. Have you considered checking sporting goods suppliers for trail cams? They work well and most are now smaller and can be hidden. Mind you, if a crook sees one they will look for others and the expense could be nasty. Good luck with that and i hope you catch the sleazeballs, nothing like photos to convict! Wayne

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	hi jennifer good luck with your new claims... you have to remember a placer claim dose not give you surface rights... hunters, fishermen, butterfly collecting, berry pickers, hikers, other tenure holders and so on all have rights to the land... but no one can pan the gravels.... meaning your not allowed to keep everyone off ... except if it's a permitted placer mine.... than no one is aloud on the mine site, with out the mine managers permission... you can apply to you mines inspector to install a gate.... do you know who owns the mineral claims under your placer cells?... and remember your cells only go to were the legacy claims start.... so that river frontage you show on your second pic. is not your cell ground yet.... if the legacy claim holder ever forfeit's his claims than it's yours... before you start spending money on cameras, try a few signs... some questions to ask your self are.... how much gold will some one get in a couple of days work? are they leaving a mess, holes, tailing's piles, garbage , ect. ? wayne said it right , if they see one camera they'll probably look for others and take them... there's a discussion every CMA meeting on what to to with claim jumpers... i have got very very close to blows with one fellow about 5 or 6 years ago... wendy and i were heading into our claim... when we got to morehead creek there were a couple of pickups parked... 3 fellows had hi-bankers or river sluices set up , one was panning with my permission... (he had asked me a couple of days before) but theses other fellows came along and just set up there equipment... i had no intention of getting mad , i just stopped to say hi and tell them they were on my claim... one of them took out a map and said no were not, and asked to see my paper work... the papers were at home (50 miles away)... he said he didn't believe me and was going to stake my ground (this was before MTO) now i was pissed me off.... i grabbed his pump out of the river running and through it in the back of the pickup... wendy seen i was mad and got out to see what happened... i kicked his hi banker over and through it in his pickup to .... and told him and his buddies to leave now .... the next day i drove home and got my paper work, and went looking for these fellows... i showed them my paper work, and still they tried to argue with me... that's when i told them i don't call 911... if i catch you on my claim i'm going to confiscate your equipment.... the one i had the problem with said you can't do that ... i said "you don't think so , go ahead and test me" i never seen them again.... but i do have there names and licence plate # s still... i could go on and on , but i think you'll get my drift on this... just be careful... .... jim
