Hi to all, I just wanted to say hi to any members who read this posting. I am new to the site but not to prospecting. I am a Geology student and have had the
bug a while. I am coming to sample beautiful British Columbia in just a few weeks, cant wait. I am from the UK attending Leeds University and have a home in
Los Angeles. Prospecting does it for me. Hi all.

Thank you guys for the welcome. What is the snow situation up there at the moment? I am in the US until term starts again at the end of September but am
itching to drive up there and have a look around. I still have a good bit of research to do on where to go. I completely understand the geo communicator here
in the us but not Canada. Nobody likes a claim jumper, so a bit of research into how to locate good land that hasn't been claimed up is a must for me
first.
I am hoping that other members of this site might have some information on how your system works. How to tell whether land has claims on it or not. Aris reports look like the first place to start. I will add a few pictures to my profile as soon as I get the hang of how to do it. Some of my nuggets and maybe one of my 47 year old mug shot. Oh my god I feel an awesome road trip coming on. Hey Cariboo Au the pan full of gold looks edible. Cool. Steve |

Hey thanks Rolln, I won't be coming for a few weeks yet but am looking forward to it. do you have any places you would recommend that I could drive to? I
will drive up from Los Angeles and spend around 10 days with just hand tools and a sluice box. Just want to make sure I am not going to be looking in
area's that don't have anything in them. I have a full set of camping supply's and everything else I need. Just need a location even have a GPS but
no coordinates. I have the use of a cabin in East Kootenay but would rather be camping any where else where there is gold. If you have any information that
would be useful I would much appreciate the help. I have been dreaming of coming to BC for years and finally I am just going to drive up there. Cant wait.
Thanks mate. Steve
