When I did go to my claims a few weeks ago, I hit a hole so hard that I knocked my ABS sensor out of alignment and that was driving slow. 4: Because Criss is the furthest east that I want to go, most of my claims are west of Cache Creek, I only bought the stuff on Criss because I had too many Jack n Cokes one night..... shall I go on? I found a similar place in upstate New York when I lived there, believe it was a hotel though. It's all abandoned, and when we walked through the halls it was really erie, whew. What a place that was at one time. People from New York city used to come up there to vacation back in the 20's and 30's. Love to explore the old places like that and read about the history. I also do more research than going out prospecting in the last few years. I've more books, articles, and other material than I can count. Found some really interesting writings on different areas. I just have to get to them and check them out. Used to prospect in Central Virginia. Believe it or not there is still much gold there to be found. The biggest problem is most of the land is private, but I was able to receive permission to be there. Didn't do too bad panning on someone's property that told me there is nothing there. Oh well... Hope you get the chance to get out to some of your claims, and find some yellow stuff... Monashee

Deadman River: has a few areas of concontrated flour gold. Tranquille River. Thoery is gold reconcentrated from old thompson channel. Watching Creek Thoery same as Tranquille River, and Criss Creek Thompson River : Good pickers Nicola River: beautiful course flour and small pickers Jamieson Creek: source is from hardrock. quartz stringers. Heffley Creek,lake Old north Thompson channel re-concentrated gold from lake tributarys . Bonaparte River: Source is from old Thompson river channel leaching form high bench in the canyon. I'm going to buy a cheap high ground clearance 4WD so I can get up on some of those knarly roads. I just finally unpacked my Garrett Infinium... this thing is built GREAT... nice waterproof connections etc.. I'm looking forward to using it this winter in place of the non waterpoof GPX-4500.

Real miners encourage the hobby. The people I usually meet in the field that keep everything a secret are the people that don't know what there talking about, and have very little experience in the hobby. I've pulled Many ounces off my claims this year, and I always Give people info about the area. It's a fascinating hobby. Thanks You Very much for writing this booklet Matt, Brett, Pat, Rod, James and Fred, for writing this Booklet. I look forward to working with you guys next mining season.

The whole area is absolutely massive and there is still plenty up there. That's why people visit the area as well as areas such as Tulameen. Some people just enjoy sharing their passion. Sorry Shawn just saw your post that was not pointed at you. It's funny because I actually started exploring another area that I found in a book by Jim Lewis. It's one of the most common gold panning in BC books. And yet I found fantastic gold where he worked in the past. Not even close to worked out.

I found a old 4x4 road down to the canyon via Marshall lake road. lol I saw underware hanging up on a tree LOL I was prospecting The high benches that are unstaked. What a waste of time for me lol.
