I recently staked a placer claim on mineral creek over top of some possibly active crown grants does this mean i may not hold the gold silver placer rights?
How would i go about finding this out any help would be greatly appreciated

If you mean a crown land grant? then you will own the placer rights to all minerals that got there by means of glacier or creek however you wont own anything
in the rock. The biggest PITA is you need to send permission to the title holder every time you go on the property and if you"damage" it he can sue
to get reparations. My claim is partially on a couple of crown grants and its a little un-nerving but whatever legally they MUST allow you on the property
because you have as much right as them.

Thanks for the info Kronk I was under the impression that the owner of the crown land grant may have held the placer rights as well |
