hi , i have found some blue clay/hard pann in 2 spots and want to start a descussion on it. one thing about it, is its huge magnatite content, could this be the bluy color. there is also lots of chalchol pyrite so it could from the copper content. if any one has info, i could use it. i am just wating for the picture, the picture below is from a diferent spot, 25 years ago, same clay though ,ust a few miles away. the rocks in the clay are mostly made up of magnatite and quartz. very cool stuff.

Any blue rocks (clay?) i've seen have always been accociated with copper.

Marvin is right if that photo is true to color I would be asking /checking out what,where,why.

i went through al the washed gravel from the blue clay, it is nearly 100 percent magnatite and quartz. there is lots of chunks of chalchol pyrite.

ah.... the Old Blue Lead.
Now according to some of the things I have read that is a really good sign. The Blue Lead is famous for producing a variety of precious metals and stones, hope you found a bit. |

Hi Paul, took those rock samples to the geology department at vancouver island university,the prof said pyrite,chachol pyrite,bornite and most likely traces of
Au ,he recomended getting them assayed.

good to know chris, i am going to go get some blue clay tommorow. a friend works for a minning company, he is going to drive me up, then when he goes back to
work, he will take it. which rock impressed the geologist?
did you guys stop between the lakes, if so was the water flowing from the hydrothermal vent.

hi all
now i am excited, i realy want to re dig the hole in the blue ground i am sure i can get chris and kim to join me, any other diggers are welcome. its hard diggen so a good back is required. i think once we hit the bed rock, we should be ankle deep in gold, fosters lost creek mine, the lost Lemon mine, Jack Lemon found a creek "ankle deep in gold" The one story that realy parallels the creek i found, is McLeod's missing millions. My creek is on the west coast of VI. his was far in the north. In the dead of winter the creek is warm and green, deamons constantly on the prowel . 3 miles in land from my creek , you find snow all the way to newfound land. It truly is a green oasis in the cold Canadian winter. dig to the bottom of the blue ground and you will be ackle deep in gold. this peice of gold/silver ore is the only gold from these legends, proof of the lost creek mine.

when we first found the spot, it was a pitt and the hard pann walls where blue, then the loggers burried it on us, we did get a nugget before they burried it.
according to the locals there was a vein of gold berring quartz under a slide next to the placer pitt, that is what i want dug out, thats why i need help.

I have read A old story on under ground mining and they had A blue clay called muck an for A while they were chucking it out till someone had it tested and
found out it was richer in silver with some gold but was way better then the ground they were targeting......over night millions..

this blue groung spot goes only about 150 feet then vanishes into a larger creek. but on the other side of the mountain there is some more blue ground, the
first picture is from that spot, there is hundreds of meters of it in the creek. its not open for placer mining and according to the laws you cant use a shovel
to dig it up for panning, but because i have the hard rock claim on it , i can have someone dig a test hole in the blue cley. then you can pann the bottom , if
any one wants to try,
 they are welcome to come down and try..

the blue ground we got the nugget from is only about 3 to 4 feet down, but the mine is under the slide, 5 shovels and week and the mine would be dug out, unfortunitly i personaly have spine problems and am screwed for digging , that is why i need help. a local used to pann 1 oz per day in the 60's from the placer hole , but according to the old timer who had the mine , he had a quartz vein with chunks of gold in it, he found it befor www1 while placer minning. when he went back after the war it had collapsed , he left it . for me the proof would be the quartz vein sticking out of the blue ground , but the evidance, is the blue ground, the fact it is right where he said it was helps. his daughter looks at it out her window still, she is 91 years old and doing well. she described the gold vein in a peice of quartz to me, and angrly said , "some one stole it from me".

this before and after shot shows how well the loggers burried the placer pitt, the guys did dig down to the old panning pond from 20 years ago, but to dig out
the slide is a big job.
