A posting area for recipes, sort of what you would call a "Miners Menu". What do you think ladies and Gents? Good idea?

Wendy,
Thanks for the welcoming. Do you collect fossils in your area? We have collected them from the Harrison Lake area. Harrison Lake has ammonites, cephlapods, and shell fossils. Tanya |

Re : Harrison
When Grant and I took a hardrock and placer mining course in BCIT, there was a gentleman teaching one of the classes and he used to be a placer miner but has changed to jemstones. He was telling us that the Harrison area is full of jemstones on east side of lake. Problem is it is heavily staked for mineral claims. We also found a place up in Horsefly where there was garnets the size of our thumb and bigger. Harrison area also has gold. There are alot of cool adventures in Harrison area. If you do your research you will find lots of mine shafts and old mining sites from the early gold rush days. We had found a ammonite out of the Harrison area that was 1 foot bt 1 foot. It took us 6 hrs to cut that off the mountain side with our rock saw. Tanya
