Here's a pic taken on Stave lake. The sun rays are beating down on the valley, and I think a osprey is perched atop one the trees within the lake.

not far from were i was born Ocean Falls ... nice to see that part of the world once in a while... haven't been to Shearwater since 1992... i imagin it hasen't changed much.... jim |

 Hi Jim,very beautiful part of our coast,was in Ocean
Falls two summers ago was supposed to hike up to i believe link lake for some fishing and swimming but ended up getting hammered at the local bar which turned
out to be some guys house with a liquor lic. lots of fun got some good pics I'll post.I believe our O.G.M.(on grounds fishery monitor)was born there aswell
Doug Stewart.Tanya I have the best job in the world,will be heading to the Queen Charlott islands in april to fish for 6 weeks we'll be anchoring up in
Rose Harbour an abandon whaling station with excellent treasure hunting prospects some of the things I've found there in the past include harpoon
heads,clay opium pipe,blue trading beads,whale ear drums(ivory),sperm whale teeth and lots of whale bones.Here is a pic of a knife a friend made with one of
the sperm whale teeth the bolster is made with 4 oz's of silver wish it was gold though
