He's a pure bred German Shepard/Timber Wolf, and is a treat. Brought him home at 5 weeks and about 12 lbs. He's now 12 weeks old and 28 lbs, gonna be a big boy. Perhaps keep the bears and other critters away on the claims. Named him 'Dakota'.. Monashee Just laying around on the deck... Getting some beauty sleep...

He's a great dog, and is now 13 weeks old, and about 33 pounds. Has feet like baseball bats, and fangs too. He's been great so far with the usual pup antics, but is slowly calming down. I have to admit that he's always testing to see who's boss. I think he's winning most of the time. It's amazing how attached one can get to a dog. jjbond: appreciate the information about the web site. It looks like a great site for info about training and I'll be using some of the info there. The wolf in him gets a little testy at times, but he's a great companion. I am amazed at the energy he has and he wears me out. Very intelligent dog, and loveable when he wants to be. Always still testing though to see who is the boss. I think I'm gaining.. Now if he would just sleep all night I might be able to get some rest... Monashee

Good idea about the doggy pack, he can carry some prospecting stuff for sure. I'm debating with Dakota who the Alpha is, at times it's me, and at times it's him. He's turning into a great companion, and loves it outdoors. I'm doing ok, still looking for someone to share the claims with. A couple of the guys in Quesnel said they would be interested, but gotta make some arrangements. We'll be going to the Island May 12. Will you be home, would like to come over and visit... Jennifer - thanks for the websites, I'll have to get him a pack soon... Tanya - he does test me most of the time, and it's not just once, but over and over. Some he wins, and some I win. He like to share. He's great with strangers and also other dogs so far. Tried to keep him socialized with other people, and also other dogs. So far, so good. He's becoming a great friend and more and more loveable. However, stubborn at times like you wouldn't believe. Love him though... Monashee
