This is a great forum and I see from the stats that there are lots of visits to topics, in some ways it is amazing that you have as much traffic as you do as my sense of the miners/prospectors around Quesnel is that they tend to keep to themselves. But what else should be hidden? Maybe your name? Because of the internet, it's easy to see where the claims are that a person owns (in BC ). So if a guy really, really, really wanted to brag about a find he'd pretty much have to use an alias to do so, and of course he'd never leak out a location, except in a private post to me (just kidding). But do we go as far as hiding technics and methods for effective prospecting? There are tricks and tips that we get from other guys that would make a huge difference. You know stuff like mentioning which layer or what depth the pay streak is in on a particular river or maybe an even more effective way to move gravels than what is being done? Thoughts?

I'm currently enjoying reading the link under Tips that is titled an Interesting Read, I believe it's a book from 1898 Titled something like How to get gold. It's winter so this is one of my armchair prospecting exercizes. Whewwww . . . . . . . . i think i'm working up a sweat!

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	a lot credit for this site must go to amxgerry .... it was his forward thinking that got this site off the ground ... i remember him coming to the meeting in march about 3 weeks or so after the start up ....to tell CMA of this site and asked us to sponsor this forum ... everyone thought it was a great idea ...i joined has soon has gerry lead me through the steps .... has i had very little idea how a computer worked ....i have watched this site grow into something i'm sure amxgerry would be very proud of .... thanx for all your work to keep this forum going wayan ... but we must remember gerry.... .....jim

I know there are a lot of you who don't get a chance to visit often and that's O.K., but if you stop in and don't find an interest in any of the topics, start your own. Heck, if you feel uncomfortable about starting your own topic, just go to the U.S. section and post how you found 100 oz. of gold in an hour and put you found it in _____, CANADA. I'll never know the difference. C4 "Gold is not where you find it, it's where the other guy found it. Now I have to find a new place to find it"

That makes our numbers look pretty good. I believe we can continue to improve with time and the participation lately has been real good. Open to suggestions as always, the members here are a great resource. Wayne
