I also noticed that the site has got an enormous amount of views in a short time. A few months ago there were around 100 000 views, now there is around 150 000! This place is getting big!

We have about 10 percent of our members posting and intereacting on a regular basis, now that does not sound like much to have 10 or a dozen posting, but when you look at the stats of other forums that have a couple thousand members and only 10-20 posting we look real good! Most internet sites, web pages, forums, etc draw revenue from advertising, which we do not have to do as we are owned and operated by the Cariboo Goldminers association. The only way "for profit" commercial sites can keep it going is to show the advertisers lots of "hits" or page visits, in order to convince them that it is worth spending their advertising money on that site. Our "hits" rank way up there for a small forum! Wayne

I will be heading into the Wells, Barkerville area this summer for a couple of weeks to see some old friends and do some looking around. Seeing as how i was born in Wells it is always nice to go back once in a while. Other than that my weekends will be spent wandering around the Peace River district with my nose to the river bank and one eye open for Grizzlies.
